Lupin House was born out of necessity and a desire to bridge the gap between what university degrees teach and the practical skills needed to land a first job in animation.

Founded by Steven J. Morris, Lupin House grew from Steven's personal experience with the power of mentorship. After completing a three-year university degree and accumulating over £70,000 in debt, he found himself no closer to being hired in the industry. Determined to make progress, he moved to the UK to practice animation on his own. A year later, he took his first mentorship—and everything changed.

For the first time, Steven had access to experienced, working professionals—animators who were contributing to some of his favorite feature films. The guidance and insight they provided marked a turning point in his career. After completing several mentorships with top-level feature film animators, Steven finally landed his first job in the industry.

Recognizing the impact mentorship had on his own journey, Steven set out to offer that same opportunity to others—especially artists who had just graduated but were struggling to break into the industry. He began hiring professional animators from studios like Disney and Pixar to help emerging talent sharpen their skills and become industry-ready. And so, Lupin House Animation was born.

Over the years, we’ve expanded—adding courses, building custom rigs, and partnering with a Disney supervisor to create an exclusive masterclass series.

Since then, we've helped hundreds of students—whether through direct mentorships, our Disney masterclass, or our growing library of courses—make the leap from aspiring animator to working professional. Today, Lupin House is one of the leading finishing schools for animation, helping many of our students land their first jobs in the industry.
