At Lupin House, we’re stoked to welcome Richard Gunzer as our newest mentor. But did you know that Richard isn't just an accomplished animator—he's also immortalized in the Pixar universe?


In Cars 3, there's a character named Richie Gunzit, a next-generation Piston Cup racer. This character was named in honor of Richard Gunzer, who was an animator on the film!


So who is Richie Gunzit?


Richie Gunzit made his debut in Cars 3Ā as a replacement for a veteran racer! Sporting the number 70 and an awesome blue, yellow, and purple color pattern, Richie quickly became a notable presence on the track.


Richard Gunzer's influence goes beyond just his animation work; his dedication and contributions to Cars 3Ā were recognized by Pixar through the naming of Richie Gunzit. This nod serves as a testament to the impact that behind-the-scenes artists have on the stories we love :)
